11610 I Ave. Hesperia, Ca. 92345
We are a church with a deep love for JESUS, a thirst for His Word, and a passion for the spread of His Gospel. All things were created by Him, for Him and through Him. He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and last, the beginning and end. Our lives, our teaching, and our worship are all grounded in who Jesus is, what He did, and what He is doing – even today. We are a people, first and foremost, about Him. We exist for Him.
We are a GOSPEL-CENTERED people. The Gospel is God’s message of good news; good news that Jesus Christ came to live, die and rise again for the forgiveness of sin to bring redeemed sinners under God’s gracious reign for the renewal of all things. The Gospel brings us home to God for life that is truly life – every day. Our lives are centered in this news. We believe the grace offered in the Gospel, and imparted by the Spirit, is the most powerful change agent in the universe. The Gospel changes everything and is for everyone; both believers and non-belivers. We are a church that exists to seek the good of the High-Desert. We love the High Desert. We live here, work here, play here, and raise our families here. The High Desert is our context. We are not in the High Desert to stand above it (in judgment) or to hide away from it (in fear) or to mirror it (in surrender), but to serve the High Desert (in love). We are here for those who dislike, hate or are skeptical of the church, as well as those who love the church. We are here to bring the Gospel to bear in the every day, serving as the faithful presence of Christ, making God look as good as He really is.
As a CHURCH, we are a redeemed people, not a place, a meeting or an institution. From beginning to end God’s aim is to glorify Himself through a people, His people, who He is calling out from all tribes, peoples and languages through the Gospel. He calls this people the Church. We are a local expression of God’s redeemed people. We are a church that desires the good of the entire High Desert through the multiplication of worshiping, redemptive, missional, sacrificial communities, planted throughout the cities of the High Desert to incarnate Jesus in every hill and valley of this beautiful desert.
As the church, we archre a people sent across the street and around the world, on a MISSION with the Gospel. The mission of God is to make disciples. God sends His people, the church, on His mission in their context to create a people for Himself, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As God’s people in the High Desert, we are participating in His unfolding story. We want as many people as possible to experience the sin- cleansing, shame-removing, life-changing, world-altering power of the Gospel. We exist to share this news and our lives with our neighbors. “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:18–19 (ESV) This is why we are here. Together, these form our Core Values.
A diverse global family of churches-planting churches.
That is why Acts 29 exists. Our focus is not simply on our own congregations, but on the work of God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, making his name famous to the ends of the earth. In the DNA of all Acts 29 churches should be a deep and driving desire to see churches planted across the world, all of which are defined by theological clarity, cultural engagement and missional innovation.
Acts 29 US West exists to multiply church planting churches across twelve Western States. We are one of 11 networks that make up the diverse, global family of Acts 29. The US West network is built on seven distinctives: Assessing, Training, Coaching, Renewal, Funding, Vision, Multiplying, and Support.
We are a network of churches that are theologically aligned and philosophically diverse, and we pray that the Spirit would keep us all deeply submitted to the word of God and walking in a glad submission to the Spirit. Acts 29 West is not a theological club where churches and church planters gather around theological alignment without the desire or resolve to plant other like-minded churches. At our core, we are a church-planting network. May the Spirit draw those who share this passion so we see myriads of people who are far from him, reconciled to him through Christ.
Oasis Community Church is affiliated with Acts 29 West - the Church planting movement. The Acts 29 West is divided into 20 different areas. If you are looking for an Acts 29 Church in the West
